Sep fourteen, 2019

Popped the card from 80D into my new 90D and formatted it. Took my offset pictures with the 90D and computer wont let me upload them. I usually use the default Windows x picture show uploader to get them into my computer and from there import into lightroom. Message comes upwardly to "Brand certain your device is unlocked and that you have the notification to connect". I am lost and take no clue. I went alee and put carte du jour dorsum into 80D and took a few pictures and estimator can upload those fine but however wont recognize any of the other pictures from the 90D that are on the card. Tried to use both the card reader in the computer and a USB cable and no luck with either. Whatever ideas what I am going to demand to do. Is there a setting in the camera I need to enable??

I utilise EOS R and have no problem uploading pictures (JPEG, CR3) to a Windows 10 calculator using a card reader. I don't use any uploader though. I find the drive and copy the file containing the pictures from the reader to the computer.

Yep, that volition almost certainly piece of work for the OP as well. Presumably it's just the defended movie loader program that doesnt understand that CR3 are as well images.

This is 1 reason I use a card reader. If for whatsoever reason the OS doesn't recognize a new camera it could cause problems. Card readers are generic and recognizable by any computer. It'south a no-brainer $15 investment.

Do you have the latest versions of Lightroom and EOS Utilities? The new CR3 format won't be recognized past older versions.
Have you tried just copying the files from a mounted bill of fare reader straight to a hard bulldoze binder? I've simply about always copied my camera files to my hard drive using Windows Explorer and so importing them into Lightroom from at that place.

Do you have the option to shoot in RAW, instead of CR3? It might be a petty while before near 3rd party processors update their systems. Or use Digital Photograph Professional 4.9.0.

No, I asked him that as I was unsure what the difference was in the image quality setting between RAW and RAWc. I thought mayhap one was basic RAW and the other setting was the new CR3. He said the RAWc is a compressed setting to permit more than shots on your memory card. The 90D is only gear up for the new CR3.
